Attention senior parents: Please see attached form regarding "Congrats Grad outdoor sign announcements" for your 2016 graduate. Seniors!
The physics students at Findlay High School cordially invite you to observe and experience the excitement of the Rube Goldberg projects being presented Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the high school auxiliary gymnasium; projects will begin running at approximately 10:47 am. Having 32 physics teams, each team has designed and constructed a Rube Goldberg Machine based on the concepts and skills they have learned through physics. The objective of their Rube Goldberg is to perform the following task: Design and construct a Rube Goldberg Machine which will fire a spherical projectile (no greater than 2.5 cm diameter) at a target located a minimum of 45.0 cm horizontally and 30.0 cm vertically from the launch position of the projectile which will trigger the U.S. flag to fly and play The Star Spangled Banner or some other patriotic song. Please mark your calendars to share in this exciting event: May 18th at 10:47 am in the high school auxiliary gymnasium.
Do you have an interest in painting, using clay, or learning to improve your drawing skills? If so, you might be interested in the FHS Art Camp this summer. Camp will be held June 13-17 from 9-3 daily. For more information, check out FHSARTCAMP.com<http://FHSARTCAMP.com>. Registration ends on May 15th. Bring a friend and enjoy a laid back studio art experience at Findlay High School.
Reminder: It's time to nominate any employee of Findlay City Schools who works with Findlay High School students (teachers, secretaries, aides, custodians, cafeteria workers, coaches, bus drivers, etc.) for the "Trojan of the Year" award! Forms are available in the SAC Office or attached to this email. They must be submitted to Mr. Imke in the SAC office by May 16, 2016. BE SURE TO NOMINATE YOUR CHOICE FOR "TROJAN OF THE YEAR"!
Athletic Physicals will be held on Wednesday, May 18 in the main gym. High School students will be seen from 5-6:15 and Middle School students from 6-7. Registration will close for both groups at 7. Athletes must have page one of the physical packet signed by both themselves and a parent in order to be seen by the Doctor. High School parents will have the opportunity to fill out forms online. More information to come soon!!!
We will have an organizational meeting for all students that want to play JV or Varsity Hockey for the 2016/17 season. The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 18th at 6 PM, (allow 1 hour for the meeting ) at the Cube conference room. Please be there on time and if you cannot make it I need you to let me know and include your current email address and cell phone number. Also put the date down of June 11th , Findlay High School is having the Trojan Trot and we will be working at this event. More to come later. Thanks GO TROJANS ! OUR TIME !

Auditions for Findlay First Edition will be held next week on the following days:
Monday May 16: Dance auditions 3:00-5:00
Tuesday May 17: Vocal auditions 3:00-6:00
Wednesday May 18: Boinger Auditions 4:00 - 6:00
Thursday May 19: Vocal Auditions 3:00-5:00
Friday May 20: Callback auditions 3:00-5:00
Auditions are open to any FHS student. Interested students should see Mr. Manley for an application and audition information.
Prom is this Saturday, May 14th, 2016. 8:00pm to 11:00pm. Tickets will be available May 4th - May13th during high school lunch in the cafeteria and after school outside the SAC office. Tickets are $20.00 for guest (from another school) or Juniors. $10.00 for Seniors ($20.00 for their guest as well if from another school). FHS Student ID and guest forms are required to purchase a prom ticket. REMINDER: All past years fees must be paid to purchase a prom ticket. Please see your secretary for fee information.
Congratulations to the 580 students who achieved a 3.5 or higher GPA for the third grading period. These students should be receiving a Speedway coupon redeemable for a free Speedy Freeze or fountain beverage from their Seventh Period teacher this week. Qualifying students are to see their Seventh Period teacher if they have not received their coupon. The "Speedy Smart" program is sponsored by Speedway LLC along with the Findlay Academic Boosters Program.

Anyone interested in being part of the 2016 Trojan Golf team is urged to attend an informational meeting at FHS with their parents on May 23, 2016 at 8:00 p.m.
Exam Schedules are now available in the Main Office and SAC Office. If you are not scheduled for any exams on a given day and would like to be excused during that time, the Exam form must be completed with Parent signature for the absence to be excused. Please check with your appropriate attendance aid with any questions.
Attention Off Campus CCP Students for 2015-2016: If you attend Owens Community College, submit any receipts of textbooks and/or your textbooks used to Mrs. Brasfield in the library ASAP or by May 13, 2016. If you attend the University of Findlay or other institutions, ensure that your textbook gets returned as required by the specific college when you registered for classes. Note: You/your family may be charged for any book not returned properly or, if for any reason, you choose to keep your textbook. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

May 19 - Cakes and Cram after school-4p.m.! Teachers from the Social Studies, Science, Art/Music, and Millstream will be here. Pancakes provided by Findlay Hancock County Public Library. Bring your own beverage and bring your friends!
May 20 - (Or after your final exams) ALL textbooks due for grades 9-11.
SENIORS - Library books are due May 13. Textbooks are due to the library May 18. Don't be surprised by a bill at graduation practice-turn your books in on time!

Schedule Your Senior Portrait Photo Session Now!
Your senior year is quickly approaching, and that means you will be getting your senior portrait taken. We encourage you to have your senior photo taken this spring/summer so you will not have any problem meeting the October 31, 2016, yearbook deadline. If you are not able to have your photo taken during the summer, at least make the appointment during the summer so that your photo can be taken in plenty of time to meet the deadline. Scheduling early may mean big discounts from your professional photographer!
All images must be 2 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" high and a 300 dpi color digital file in the sRGB colorspace. After August 1, 2016, submit your photo to www.hjeshare.com<http://www.hjeshare.com> and enter the school code: 3061398.
