The February 28th,  Adulting 101 program in the library is canceled.

Attention Teens: Do you want to become empowered? Want to speak out? Do you want to help your friends and other teens understand mental health conditions? Then this group is for you! NAMI of Hancock
County will be hosting its newest program for students 14-17 called Teens Talk here at FHS. The first meeting will be this Wednesday,  February 14th, from 3-4:15 in the Synergy Center. PAST club will be having a guest speaker on local archaeology this Wednesday, after school in room 262.  The speaker is Rick Carles, president of Blanchard Valley Architecture club.

During the months of February and March your child might be asked to take a survey in their English class. The survey measures student attitudes and knowledge of sexual assault. The survey is anonymous. Attached is more information about this project, including who to contact if you have questions or do not wish your child to participate. Information Sheet for Survey
SENIORS: New Scholarships Added! Go to: http://fhs.fcs.org, click on "Students/Parents," then click on "Scholarships" to view the Google Sheet of all scholarships currently available. Can't see the new scholarships? Try clearing your cache.
Local L. Margaret Riedel Scholarship now available. Applicant must be an FHS senior with a 3.25 minimum GPA and involved in school/community activities. Financial need considered but not required. Application due in counseling office by April 6th  at 3:00pm. For more information or to apply, visit the scholarship page on the HS website.

The Arts Partnership is offering a day-long theatre camp on Presidents' Day, Monday, February 19, from 9am to 4 p.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. The program is open to students in grades 1 through 12 and will feature a tour of the facility and mini workshops in improv, acting, and musical theatre.
The cost to attend is $60 per student and includes snacks and water. Lunch is not included and students are encouraged to pack a non-refrigerated lunch. Registration deadline is Feb. 14

Attention Sophomores:
The Hancock Youth Leadership program is now accepting applications for the 18-19 school year. If you are a sophomore interested in this opportunity please pick up a form in the counseling office or see Mr. Shank or Mrs. Hamlin. The form can also be found online at: http://bit.ly/hylapplication.
